State
Representative Marguerite Quinn recently contacted Dr. Vail P.
Garvin, Executive Director of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce,
to seek out a public-private partnership to support those members
of the business community who have been devastated as a result
of the flooding and/or road repair along River Road, Bucks County.
The Chamber has developed a four-pronged comprehensive program
called “Dining on the Delaware.”
The purpose of the program is to raise the visibility of River
Road restaurants. The Chamber will send email reminders to all
business members, monthly, to encourage everyone to eat out on
the last Friday of the month at River Road eateries. This program
will kick-off on January 25, 2008.
“I am pleased to join with the Central Bucks
Chamber of Commerce and its' over 2,500 members through the “Dining
on the Delaware” program, and encourage the public
to dine out at one of these fine businesses along River Road who
truly need us at this time” says Representative Marguerite
Quinn. The Chamber has set the inaugural “Dining
on the Delaware” evening out for Friday,
January 25 at 6:30 pm. “If there is a restaurant
along the Delaware River that would like to be listed on the Chamber
website, please send your link to the Chamber at tony@centralbuckschamber.com.”
Additionally, several restaurants along the River
will be featured quarterly in the Chamber’s magazine –
W4.
Through the Chamber’s Tourism Committee, Eric
W. Hopkins, Esq. said, “The Chamber will also offer all
businesses along River Road a one-year free subscription
to its organization as part of its dedicated mission which is
Our Business is to help your Business grow.” Ben
Bugajewski (Bugajewski Facility Services) is heading up the business
committee for the Dining on the Delaware program.
The Chamber is also devoted to furthering the arts,
humanities and welfare of the Central Bucks region. For more information
